Meeting 2023

Announcement of the 30th annual meeting of the KWF society for Cancer Biology,  November 16th & 17th November  2023

The KWF society for Cancer Biology (fka Tumor cell biology) organizes its annual two-day conference on cancer biology and genetics, specifically aimed at, but not exclusively for, researchers supported by KWF. This meeting provides an excellent opportunity for Pls, postdocs, PhD students and research technicians to meet, present and discuss their work, build informal networks and set up new collaborations. The KWF kankerbestrijding strongly endorses this meeting and also encourages project leaders to attend.

This year’s meeting will take place in Congreshotel De Werelt in Lunteren on November 16th & 17th  2023

The program includes:

    1. Researchers presenting their data obtained within KWF kankerbestrijding funded research grants or related projects.
    2. Scientific presentations by two internationally acclaimed speakers:

      Dr. Leila Akkari (Netherlands Cancer Institute) ‘Title TBA’

      Dr. Ruben van Boxtel (Prinses Maxima Center)  ‘Title TBA’
    3. Assembly of the project leaders
    4. Evening entertainment

The final program for the meeting will not be available until the second half of October, given the fact that you, the participants, will determine most of the content. To get an impression you can look at the program of previous meetings under Previous programs

You can register and submit your abstract for presentation through the ‘registration’ tab on the website (www.kwfcancerbiology.nl). You can also submit your abstract to  infoKWFCB@umcutrecht.nl on a later stage but BEFORE OCTOBER 16th in the format as indicated on the Registration page. Other formats will not be accepted.

 All abstracts will be included in the abstractbook but unfortunately not all abstracts can be selected for an oral presentation.
Costs are €300,-, including lodging & breakfast or €200,- without lodging. Attendance to lectures, lunch, dinner and refreshments are included for both options.

By registering you declare that you will pay your fees before October 16th, 2023 on account nr IBAN NL50 INGB 0005 1829 94 from KWF werkgemeenschap tumorcelbiologie quoting CB2023 and your name.

Please note that you will only be allowed to join the meeting after we have received your payment. Following hotel ‘De Werelt’s regulations, refunds are only possible before October 15

In order to avoid delays due to slow institutional financial handling, we would appreciate that you first pay out of your personal account and submit the costs at your department afterwards. If your department takes care of your payment, please ask them to pay for each participant separately or otherwise send an email to infoKWFCB@umcutrecht.nl with details on the collective payment (participant name and with or without lodging)
